Imagine you are skiing, enjoying perfect conditions on the slopes and admiring the unique panorama of the Dolomites, and your friends and acquaintances are experiencing it along with you – in real time. So you think it’s not possible? Oh yes it is – with Skibeep, the new mobile game from Dolomiti Superski. “Check in” with your smartphone at the most beautiful spots on your skiing holiday, publish photos and post comments about your skiing excursions on Facebook and Twitter, and collect lots of credits and valuable badges. It’s as easy as that to make your skiing holiday in the Dolomites even more exciting.
How does it work?
The first step is to download the free app “Dolomiti Superski-Skibeep” from the Apple Store or Android Market on to your smartphone. Then you can register on our mobile website or on the Dolomiti Superski website and set up your personal Skibeep profile – and that’s it: you are a skibeeper! In order to be able to use absolutely all the possibilities and functions offered by Skibeep, we recommend that you load your ski pass on to the “My Dolomiti skicard” chip card. This is available from the ski pass offices and can be used again every year.
And off you go!
Use the many services included in Skibeep to get to know the immense Dolomiti Superski ski region with all its points of interest, slopes, lifts, ski lodges and also the many different facilities and services offered in the idyllic mountain villages and stations. Use the leaderboard to keep an eye on what is going on in the virtual world around you: where are the other skibeepers around you, what are they doing, what are they experiencing and feeling? The most useful and up-to-date information on things like the weather, snow conditions, which slopes and lifts are open, etc., is of course also available to you. With the “Performance Check”, you can have your skiing progress over the day mapped graphically, showing the lifts you have used, the routes you have taken, and the changes in altitude you have covered - and your friends will be amazed! So you have heard about a really good ski lodge in the neighbouring valley, renowned for its excellent food? No problem: with the “Ski Planner” feature, your smartphone will safely guide you straight to the sunny terrace of the ski lodge. You will of course have to enjoy the delicacies yourself! And finally, with "My Account" you can also view and manage your profile directly on your smartphone.
Collecting Badges and Credits
Skibeep rewards you for placing lots of valid activities and sharing them with friends and acquaintances on Facebook and Twitter. Is the mountain panorama you are admiring particularly impressive? Take a snapshot with your smartphone and post it on the social networks straight away! This promotes group dynamics and will get you lots of Skibeep credits. Or do you particularly like a certain ski lodge? “Check in” via Skibeep, collect credits for doing so, and maybe you will meet new beeper friends who happen to be there at the same time. You do not have to be on skis to take part, however. In the villages and resorts there are plenty of exciting moments worth recording in Skibeep. The more you participate, the more photos and comments you post, and the more places you “check in”, the more credits and badges you will get.
